Einstein quoteI just love the days that call for a slower pace. Days like Sundays in France, but then, not necessarily. Weekdays in the parks can be a bit quieter, and for the reading I like to do in the midst of a glorious Parisian parc or jardin, weekday breaks from work can be just perfect.

Not long ago, in searching at the English librairie for a bit of a pick-me-up kind of book, I found myself in the Philosophy/Self Help section of WH Smith. I like to let myself be drawn to books, especially when I’m looking for something in this section. The spine of a book caught my eye, and I knew in an instant this would be my next read. The retro style design of Einstein and the Art of Mindful Cycling made it especially interesting, but the two words “Einstein” and “cycling” were what really got me curious about this book. One of my favorite quotes ever is “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” And that is clearly what this book was based on. What better way to get motivated to keep moving forward with Falling Off Bicycles, than to sit in one of my favorite places in my favorite city reading about two of my favorite topics?
