// In the blink of an eye, my sweet little Patrick // In the blink of an eye, my sweet little Patrick is a month old. 💙💜 Today was his due date, but I can’t imagine this past month without him and not knowing him as the little peanut 🥜 he came out as. ☺️ He has changed so much in four weeks, and I don’t know if it’s my hormones or me just being sentimental but it makes me cry on a near-daily basis. 😢 Despite the fatigue and the shocking inability to get a single thing done around here, I’ve never been so content to spend so much time at home and cross absolutely nothing off my to-do list. #fob_julia P.S. I realize it looks like I haven’t changed clothes in a month. It’s not true but there sure hasn’t been much variety in my wardrobe. It would have been helpful for all things baby and mama to be considered “essential” these last few weeks. 🤪
// It was King’s Day last week, and I completely // It was King’s Day last week, and I completely zapped ⚡️on it. I didn’t remember that it was even coming up, but I always like to mention it here because it’s the best time to be had in Amsterdam- except maybe Gay Pride 🏳️‍🌈 but I’ve still never been to that. Anyway, it’s celebrated on April 27 each year and should really be experienced by everyone remotely interested in Dutch culture, in my opinion. My party animal 😂 parents were even there for it a decade ago, dressed in orange and walking the streets of the city taking in the festive vibe. You can do the hardcore partying or you can just wander the streets like I usually do and check out all the pop up parties along the way. If you look closely in this shot, you’ll see a very full boat full of (probably drunk) people. This is on the Singel canal, but if you want to find a good party on King’s Day, you won’t want to miss Prinsengracht. 🎉🍻 You’re bound to see someone fall off a boat into a canal! 🤣🛶

Connaître Julia

• I can’t live without music, specifically the Beatles and Classic Rock.

• I have always loved houses and decorating them. When I was little, I wanted to be an interior decorator when I grew up.

• If I didn’t do what I do, I would be studying people’s creative processes.

• I am an insatiable student of all things relating to the Law of Attraction and metaphysics.

• The two books that most changed my life are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.

• I am an HSP with many HSP friends.

• I am passionate about animal rights and plant-based living.

• I have always enjoyed studying languages. I speak English and French fluently and have studied Dutch and Italian. Spanish is next.

• I have always loved hotels. My parents have been known to select our family vacation hotels based on whether or not I would approve!

• In France, my drink of choice is either Kir or champagne. Back home in the U.S., I usually opt for a G&T.
